REVIEW: Etude House [Let's Pink] Precious BB Cream Cover & Bright Fit in W13 Natural Beige

Today, I'm gonna review yet another product from Etude House. Yeah, you know how much I love Etude House. It's affordable, girly and exude cuteness overload. But this time, we're having a go at the  Etude House [Let's Pink] Precious BB Cream Cover & Bright Fit in W13 Natural Beige. I've tried out some BB cream samples before, but this time I got myself a full-size tube. Yayyyy!!!

That product is the repackaged version of the Etude House Precious BB Cream Cover & Bright Fit. It is available in 3 different shades, namely Light Beige, Natural Beige and Honey Beige. Got mine in W13 Natural Beige.

In fact, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its existence, a whole collection of its best-sellers have been repackaged into the "Let's Pink" version. All pink, all girly and all cute as always. This collection was to die for but since I was kinda broke at that time, I didn't manage to lay my hands on the products. Hopefully, Etude House was having a "Bye bye" discount for the BB Cream and here it is!!! 

So, I bought it on Etude House Global Website at a discounted price of $6.17 for 1.23 oz/3.5g of product. Unfortunately, this pink version has been discontinued on the official online store of Etude House but I guess it can still be purchased from other re-sellers. If you wanna have the original version, it is still available for $12.40.

My Experience with the Product

No, seriously, isn't that packaging to die for?  This is sooooo adorable. The cupcake setup design and the pink Victoria Secrets' stripes background. So Etude House-y.

Oh my God. I just could not resist that cuteness overload. The packaging only was enough to convince me to buy it (plus review from trusted fellow bloggers), and I badly needed to get myself a new BB cream. hehe

How Gorgeous is this

Now let's talk about that BB cream tube. From far away it looked adorb as hell, but on a closer look, it's just made of plain pink plastic wrapped with a sticker. I always thought the lady with the bouquet was like printed/engraved on the BB cream tube itself. I guess that sticker will come off with time. Ah such a disappointment. But hopefully, the design which reminds me of the Drawing Swan Collection ballerinas (which I totally failed to buy) saved the day.

As for the BB cream itself, it is a very soft and smooth formula with a yellow undertone to it. I chose Natural Beige as Light Beige tends to be too light for me.  Turned out Natural Beige was the perfect match for me. It matched my skin so much so that I didn't have to apply it on my neck. I'm saving on the product. yehet. It does brighten the skin but in a more natural-looking way. It's a bit thick such that it's better to apply with a puff or blender rather than a brush. Whenever I used a foundation brush, well, I would see the brush streak marks. But it blends perfectly into the skin if you use your fingers alone or a puff.

Pretty much the same, after 8 hours (excuse the remnants of my blush which makes it look like I've got redness). Also, sorry for the crappy lighting, tends to get dark here. Also apologies if my skin doesn't look like models in ads upclose. No photoshop here. But for a dull and boring skin like mine, I love the finish

As for coverage, I'd say it is pretty much decent. It covered my pores, redness and pimples pretty well. My skin looked uniform throughout. But at times, you would need to layer on some more BB cream to have more coverage. It was neither too matte nor too dewy. That BB cream has the right balance between the two. I was nonetheless very satisfied with the finish. It is also long-lasting for a good 8 hours and has spf, good to go for a whole day out. Notice the little glow on my cheeks. I usually have a dull and boring skin without foundation. duh

Most importantly, it doesn't have that white cast problem, unlike most Korean foundations or cushions I've used, which is fantastic. Don't know about the lighter shade though. This BB cream just makes me look like I have healthy and clear skin in the most natural way possible.

I didn't irritate me in any way or break me out or block my pores, which I usually get from applying foundation a lot. But of course, make sure to wash your face well. Furthermore, it doesn't settle into cracks or create dry patches around my face. So thumbs up!

Also, it doesn't have any particular scent. It smells just like foundation. So, fragrance haters, this is your BB cream :D

The downside to it is that it moves around, especially since I wear glasses and I tend to be touchy-touchy with my face. It can get messy. Better use some loose powder to avoid  these, but even so, it does moves around. Although your hair doesn't stick to your face or there is no such sticky feeling with that BB Cream, it does get transferred to things getting into contact with your face, but not that much. I guess this is a problem most glasses and makeup wearers get. But I had to find a drawback to that awesome BB cream cause of course, nothing is perfect in this world.lol

-Moves around and sticks to glasses/sunglasses/fingers

-Limited shades

Conclusion

Well, provided you get the right shade for your skin, Etude House Precious BB Cream Cover & Bright Fit is an awesome BB cream. Combined with a good primer, concealer and powder, this is sure to make your skin look amazing. It might not be the best around but for a mid-range brand it performs pretty well. In the end, after watching and reading so many vlogs and blogs raving about it, it was indeed worth the hype. Besides having a deadly cute packaging, the quality of the BB cream does not disappoint. I really like it (maybe more than western brands) and recommend it to you who are looking for a reasonably cheap and good quality Korean BB cream, especially if you are not into dewy, glowy and ghostly idol look. I'd certainly repurchase it if I can.
