REVIEW (Jolse X Roseroseshop X Aegyo Girl) : Neulii Snail Bee Anti-Wrinkle Serum

Hello Everyone !!!

I'm so thrilled to announce a new collab with Jolse. They were looking for 20 reviewers for the new Roseroseshop product line called Neulii. Roseroseshop is an online korean cosmetic store and they came up with their own brand called Neulii, which up to now, a skin care line.

The 'Neulii' Serum line consists of actually five types of serums for different skin troubles:

I first received some free samples from Roseroseshop in the Teatree and Aloe formulae. I wish they could send me one from each type but, anyways.... I didn't like the samples actually. They smelled like glue. So I was a bit skeptical about participating in the Jolse contest. Not that the samples had terrible effects on me. They were actually pretty good. They were moisturising and soothing for my pimples.

Teatree BHA Blemish Control Serum and Aloe BHA Sothing Serum

But instead of requesting for the Teatree or Aloe, or for Green Tea which I usually pine for, I went for the one that sounded the creepiest and that is the serum with Snail Bee. I always thought that snail creams or serums sounded like gimmicks to me. But ever since I've started indulging into skincare, I wanted to give snail products a try. Also, note that it's anti-aging. I've just hit the 25 landmark and although it might be too early to start anti-wrinkle care, I'm all for preventive measures and I'll be sharing it with my mum.

What it is

A serum containing snail slime and propolis extracts to assist anti-aging and wrinkle care.

Directions:

Apply on entire face area after using cleansing, but before toner stage.

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Propolis extract, Betaine, 1,2 Hexanediol, Allantoinm Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Adenosine

And so, Jolse was actually very kind to choose me to review the serum and sent me a full size bottle of the snail bee anti-wrinkle serum. It came in a plain white and green box. Very pharmaceutical type of packaging, unlike the cute ones I'm used to with Korean products.

Directions, Ingredients, and caution

Korean stuff
The bottle itself reminds me of the stuffs you find in hospitals. All white, translucent and pharmaceutical looking. It also had a handy pump. It contains 100 mL of product and is available for $17.12 but there is actually a sale going on.

Pump! Pump!

As for the serum, unlike its teatree and aloe counterparts which were more liquid types, this one was slightly thicker and slimy in consistency. Yeah slim like snail slime. But it was not gross-looking or stinking like something raw, straight from a dirty-looking snail.
Swatch

Slime

On application, it felt very smooth and absorbed really quickly, like any other serums. It did moisturised my skin and I love the fact that it doesn't have the glue scent the other two had. It is actually odorless, which is great. After absorption into the skin, it does not feel sticky at all, as I initially feared 'cause of the slimy texture. You can move on with your skincare routine and makeup right away. It does not sting or irritate my skin.

As for the wrinkles, well,  apart from fine lines, I don't have wrinkles. I hope my fine lines will fade away with time. But since I had a deadline to post that review and I just recently received it and used it, this might not be my final opinion. I'll surely have to do an update of it. My mum tried it as well and is pretty much satisfied with the moisturing and smoothing properties. But we shall have to wait for its long term effects for the anti-wrinkle properties.

But with winter hitting hard here and my skin getting drier and more sensitive, this serum came as a life-saver to provide that extra boost of moisture although it won't be effective on its own. These days I am using lots of thick and rich creams to prevent my skin from drying. It is quite surprising for me who has combination skin. I guess winter is not being kind this season in Mauritius.

Pros:
-Moisturising
-Quick Absorption
-Not Sticky
-Not irritating
-No scent
-Portable

Cons:
-Simplistic packaging

Conclusion

But in any case, I do recommend this serum for its moisturising properties and for the fact that it doesn't have much fragrance, which is something I didn't really appreciate with the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum. Although it had a nice scent, the alcohol content was quite disturbing. As for the wrinkle properties, we'll have to wait to see how it goes. Wrinkle care is actually something progressive and it takes time and effort to prevent aging from taking over. One product won't change everything. It also depends on your lifestyle as well. It's useless to slap on tons of anti-wrinkle products if you are eating junk food, not sleeping properly, exposing yourself to UV rays, etc.

Anyways, if you are in your early days of anti-wrinkle care or if you need a serum with no particular scent, you may give it a try like me. But the aloe and teatree are good to go as well although I don't really like their scents.

Please note this some kind of sponsored post since I got the product for free but I was not paid in any form whatsoever to give my review on it or to promote it. My opinions on that product are mine and sincere.

Stay Beautiful and Sweet

    1. Hi Sunny!!
Thanks for loving my posts. Hope they helped :D
I thought that serum would be gross too, but it is really not.It doesn't smell like snail slime at all. It's like touching runny paper glue, haha.
Guess they used the appropriate treatments during its processing. It does helps with moisture like i said in my review but the more i'm using it these days, the more taut and firm my skin feels. So, thumbs up to that.
Anyways, watch out for my updates. It is always encouraging to have those precious comments. Thanks :D

    1. Hi CherryBlossom19!!!
I'm equally glad to know that I have a Mauritian reader out there. :)
Now, before purchasing any kind of cosmetics or skincare, whether it's Korean or Western brands, you have to find out what is your skin type(dry, oily or combination skin) and whether you have allergies or have sensitive or acne prone skin, else you will end up wasting money on just anything without any satisfying results. To start with Korean brands, you may give a try to TheFaceshop in Mauritius. They have a nice flagship store in Caudan and sell products with natural ingredients. The sales reps are very helpful. So, you can ask for any advice for your needs. However, some of their products can be on the pricey side. It's all up to you concerning the budget. Now, it's a fact that Korean brands are cheaper online but you might stumble upon fake products. So it's important you find an authentic retailer. The ones recommend are jolse and roseroseshop. But there are more. You may also wish to visit online stores of certain brands like innisfreeworld.com, etudehouse.com and Club Clio. Shipping costs can be exhorbitant but there are good promos at times.
Wow that was a long comment. But thanks anyways. I hope it helped. You can read my previous posts, contact me by email and i recommend you watch videos by Meejmuse and TheBeautyBreakdown on youtube to get familiar with Korean brands and products. Hope that helped. Looking forward to your next comment:)

    2. Dearest Aegyo Girl thank you so much for your reply ^^ Yes you are right before deciding to purchase anything i have indeed done my research and watched and read reviews as well as watched meejmuse and wengie's videos on korean skincare. I also read soko glam's blog about the 10 step korean skin care routine as well as other blogs explaining the function and difference between the products involved in the steps. I more or less have an idea of the kind of products that i will be needing for my skin type but of course i will also seek advice before making my final decision. Yes i did visit the faceshop flagship store in Caudan i am considering trying out more of their products but i also really want to try out different brands like skinfood, Missha, Innisfree, Etude House and nature republic.Thank you for your website recommendations i will definitely check them out. I stumbled upon one called w2beauty which is run by someone called Alice and i have read some great reviews about her site. I was wondering if you ever hear about her? Thank you for your help i really appreciate it :) i'm considering checking out several websites before making a choice to be on the safe side. I couldn't find your mail but i sent you a google chat invite i hope we can talk more over there :) Hoping to hear from you soon <3

    3. You are always welcome CherryBlossom19 ^^
You have done well doing an in-depth research before committing. I'm so glad more and more Mauritians are interested in K-beauty, just like me. :)
I want to try different brands as well but because I have sensitive skin, I barely buy from other websites, besides the official online store in case I end up buying fakes that could ruin my skin. Oh I forgot mentioning it, but there is that Korean restaurant called Kimchi House which also sells tons of Korean products, namely Missha, Tonymoly, Banila Co, and some other brands that I don't know. But they are worth trying.
Also, you don't need to try out everything at one go. Start with something as simple as a cleanser or a moisturiser to test it out, then gradually you can start incorporating other products as you get to know what is good for you. Anyways, we can chat to talk more about it :)
      Just added you. See ya
