REVIEW: Elite Fluid Perfection Foundation-Peach

Hello Everybody!!!!

❤❤❤ My 2015 Favourites ❤❤❤

Hi Everybody!!!!

So, here we are. It's already the end of 2015. It's been a great year for me as a new blogger and I feel blessed. I was able to share a few of my reviews with the world, well, mainly with people who have the same passion as me, that is make-up, skincare, K-beauty. I can't really make a reliable count of how many people read my blog or commented, and I don't really know if people even take my opinions seriously but doing this as a hobby just makes me feel happy. The proudest thing I've managed to do as a beginner is to have my reviews read by you guys and one of them shared by a retail online shop. It's always motivating to be acknowledged :)

To mark this festive season, I'd like to share my 2015 Favourites, both for skincare and make-up. I'm quite limited compared to other reviewers or vloggers, but I will just share about what I contented myself with. So bear with me. I wrote reviews on many of them, while for some others, I just didn't have the time to do a review yet. I'll be really quick on this one. So, let's gooooo.

REVIEW: Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream

Hi Everyone!

Etude House, as many of you already know, is a very girly brand and all that comes to mind when you hear about it is colorful lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushers in Oh so cute pink packaging. We rarely think about skincare when we talk about Etude House. And yet, they do have a skincare line, and today I'm gonna review the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream, which is surprisingly a best-seller and an award-winning product.

REVIEW: Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion in Magic Pink

Hi Everybody!

I've been so busy with work and exams for the past month, which explains why I gave no sign of life recently. Apologies for that. So, today to celebrate my comeback, I bring to you the review of a best-selling item from Etude House, a product which I have long dreamed of possessing after watching the cutest and most adorable commercial ever for a cosmetic product. Yes, it's the Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion in Magic Pink.

REVIEW: Elite Paris Fashion Code Mascara - Black Night

Hi Everybody,

This time I bring to you a mascara from the Elite Paris, a French Brand. I've been using it for quite a while now and I thought it was worth a good review.

I'm not a frequent mascara user, despite the fact that I'm deprived of eyelashes as much as my brows. My obsession are brow makeup, eyeliners, eye shadows, but mascara has never been a necessity. Maybe that's because I hate that feeling of stickiness and thickness on my eyes. I feel like I can never rub my eyes and removing it is such a pain, even with a good eye makeup remover. But that's my opinion.

REVIEW: Innisfree Aloe Revital Soothing Gel

Hi Everyone!

Enough of hauls now, let's start reviewing!

With Summer kicking in here, my face starts feeling burning hot after I step outside, further causing breakouts. But this year, I decided to take precautionary measures with sunblocks and adding aloe gel to my skincare routine.

Innisfree October Haul!!!!!

Hello Everyone!

I've been slow on reviewing but overwhelmed with hauls lately. (YAYYYY!!!!!)

This time it's Innisfree, my all-time favourite skincare brand from South Korea. It's been quite a while since I last ordered from Innisfree World. So, I am very excited about this new haul. It took about 1 month to get to me, which is like 2 weeks more than Etude House, which is quite annoying. I even had to go through a check back at the local post office (damn) as if I smuggled some illegal stuffs (shout-out to the Customs officer who did not know what Mugwort was). Well, good things come to those who wait.

Yeah that's how I found my serum's packaging...Wide Open :O

The Body Shop Haul

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are having a nice weekend ahead. For me, it'll be a quiet time at home, lazing around and rolling in bed. It's almost the end of winter and it's starting to get hot out there. Summer almost here. Damn, it's gonna be so hot :P

Anyways, I've got quite a lot The Body Shop products lately. I've been obsessed with their body butters. So obsessed that I buy them as gifts for my loved ones. I bought Fruity Sweethearts for my aunty and a Strawberry Shower, Scrub and Moisture Set for myself.

This one is destined to my aunt. Not a Valentine's gift. snif snif

All Mine. LOL

REVIEW: Kao Megrhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask

Hello Everyone!

Has anyone tried Steam eye masks? Yes, they give out heat as you lay them on your eyes. No Batteries, No electricity, whatsoever, unlike heated slimming belts. It  just starts heating up automatically, like magic. To be honest, I didn't know such things existed until my cousin from Hong Kong brought me some.

REVIEW: Johnson's® Even Complexion Facial Wash

Hi Everyone

Here's another review for all cosmetics lovers out there.

I'm all about cleansers lately and I'm using up my stocks like crazy. I try as much as I can to cleanse my face at least twice a day and for this purpose, I use gentle cleansers that are not drying for the face but that still removes the remnants of my makeup and excess sebum for the day. I have combination skin, that is an oily T zone and cheeks, and dry patches on my chin area. So, choosing a good product that would be the best fit fro my skin was essential as it tends to get irritated a lot.

REVIEW: Innisfree Water Glow Cushion SPF 50+ PA++ in No. 21

Hi Beauty Lovers!

I've been reviewing new products quite a lot lately and because of that I left aside a few others that I've had for quite a while now and the  Innisfree Water Glow Cushion SPF 50+ PA++ is among them. As you might already be aware of Koreans are all over cushions. Even guys there have their own cushions (how crazy!I wonder what's the difference with the female version though). So, I've been wanting to review that cushion when I started my blog but my zeal to review newly purchased products kept me delaying with that Cushion. But now that people are asking all over the net, "what do you think of Innisfree's cushion???", this gave me the motivation again.

ETUDE HOUSE HAUL!!!!

Today it's Annyeong Everyone!!!

After a quite a long time, I've had a delivery straight from Seoul, South Korea. Because of the MERS epidemic , I've restrained myself from importing stuffs from there 'cause of the trouble customs here might pose. Yeah, I personally emailed reps from different companies and they informed that despite all the precautions they might be taking with their manufacturing processes, they could not guarantee the customs in my country would allow the products here. So, I chose to abstain from buying straight from Korea to avoid bureaucratic hassles, but since there was THEFACESHOP, I could bear it all. Enough with my endless lamentations, today is a great day for me, hehe.

What really pushed me to shop, was actually the promotions Etude House was offering on its website. It was offering free discovery kits, lower prices for its best-selling and new products. Most importantly, they were offering free shipping for purchases above $50. Yayy

Sorry for the crappy photo quality

REVIEW: THEFACESHOP Air Cotton Makeup Base SPF 30 PA++ in 01 Mint

Hello Cosmetics Lovers!!!

This time, I'm gonna review a makeup primer.

It's another first for me. It's true I've reviewed other products that could act as a primer as a secondary use, like the cushions, powder, creams, but never a product whose sole use was a primer. It is a product which already made a guest appearance in one my previous posts (See HOLIDAYS SERIES: Hitting the Beach-What's in my makeup pouch?).

REVIEW: Baroness Aloe Vera Mask Sheet

Hi Everyone!

I'm catching up on all the reviews I've left out this month, so bear with my posts for the time being.

So this is the weirdest thing I've done when it comes to buying skincare products. Usually, I would buy them in flagship stores where I'm sure things are branded and safe and everything. This time I tried being a bit daring.

REVIEW: THEFACESHOP Pore Minimizer Controlling Cream

Hello Cosmetics lovers!

Here's another review of a product I've purchased in Mauritius. If you have been following me, you can already guess it's a THEFACESHOP product (yeah the only Korean cosmetics store around).

They have shipped lots of new products from South Korea to here, to my greatest delight. Among those was the Pore Minimizer Controlling Cream which was part of its new Pore Treatment Line. It was bought for Rs 475, roughly $14 (not that bad).

REVIEW: Innisfree Eco Brow Pencil in No.1 Grey

Hi Everyone!

What's up?

Time to get back to some serious reviewing. I've been slacking off a bit lately. Sorry. Returning from vacation, Resuming work and studies right away has been really tough (I'm such a lazy bone). Well, During that time, I've seized the opportunity to do some shopping for the sake of reviewing. Lavish spending on cosmetics does so much good to my mental health, but not to my wallet, unfortunately.

In my everlasting search of the perfect brow product, I've come across the Innisfree Eco Brow Pencil, which I purchased on www.innisfreeworld.com for $4 quite a while back. It is a really popular product in South Korea and is used by famous make-up artists.

HOLIDAYS SERIES: A Glimpse of Holidays in Mauritius

Hello!

How's everyone? Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are enjoying holidays. Taking some days off once in a while is really important, which I did after like two years (that's why I was literally on offline mode). Last time I went on a trip overseas and this time, it's on my own motherland that I went on vacation for a few days and God, it was so much fun :)

Yep, That's where I disappeared to.hihi

From my previous post, you might have wondered where I was going with so much gear with me. Well, drum roll.....I went on a hotel stay in the Northern coast of Mauritius, precisely at LUX* Grand Gaube, with my family. In this post, I'm not gonna talk about cosmetics but rather boast about the beauty of my island (Maybe your perception of Mauritius might change or you might wanna drop by one day with your loved ones).

HOLIDAYS SERIES: Hitting the Beach-What's in my makeup pouch?

Hi Everyone!

I know that many of you are enjoying your Summer Holidays out there. Well here in Mauritius, a tropical island, it's Winter time and it's been sooooo cold (not freezing). To tourists who converge here, it still feels like summertime to them. The average temperature here is around 20 degrees Celsius, but for someone who spent most of life in a hot environment, that is totally winter for me.

Anyways, I'm going to start a new series which pertains to HOLIDAYS. Writing reviews can become boring in the long run. So, I wanna be innovative and try something new, which will allow me to show you a glimpse of my Paradise Island, along the way. It's not really Holiday time here. Our big holidays' season is usually in December, when it's Summer.  Luckily, I've got family spending holidays in Mauritius and it will be a great opportunity to skip work, have a few days' off and enjoy quality time with them. Through this series, I wanna show how life is in Mauritius and how to be beach beauty. In this first part, I'm gonna show you what I'm packing in my makeup pouch as I get ready to head to my new secret destination (which will be revealed in my next segment). This will, in a way, ensure my checklist is alright, lol.

REVIEW: THEFACESHOP Seaweeds Moisturizing Pack

Hi Everybody!

Long time no see! It's been quite a while, right? I've been quite busy lately. But this didn't refrain me from trying out new products for you out there.

Sleeping packs have become quite a trend in South Korea and it is an essential step in the skincare routine of so many people there. Sleeping packs or masks are usually in the form of creams or gels that you apply on your face just before going to bed, and that you wash off as soon as you wake up, feeling refreshed for the day. I had quite a hard time laying my hands on one, 'cause it's practically unknown here. But since THEFACESHOP Mauritius opened, I can no longer say Korean cosmetics are not within my reach.

REVIEW: THEFACESHOP Bright Eyes Modeling Gel Patch

REVIEW: Pastel Profashion Rouge Palette No.3 Summer Fever

Hi Beauty Passionates!

This time, I'm going to review a Turkish brand that is an absolute craze here in Mauritius, Pastel Cosmetics. Yeah, it might appear surprising for a korean cosmetics lover to use a Turkish brand, but I'm all about testing whatever comes my way. Here in my country, there are lots of Asians with different complexions, so here, the majority prefers very pigmented products, unlike in Korea.

REVIEW: H&M 2-in 1 Hand Cream Shea Butter

Hi Everyone!

Life's getting hectic here. Work, soon back to studies....AAHHH!!!!

Never mind, I complain a lot. But I always manage to find time to blog.

This time, I'm reviewing the 2-in-1 Hand Cream with Shea Butter by H&M (H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB, for your knowledge). I've got this thing for hand creams lately. I tried to look up for reviews about it on the Internet but honestly, I didn't find any. That's where I came to fill up that blank space (HAHA). I'm actually happy to review a product which people might not know about. At least I'm trying to be creative, right?

REVIEW: Etude House Dear My Wish Lips-Talk O202

Hi Beauty Lovers!

As you already know, I had a haul from Etude House a while ago and today I'm going to review the Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk which topped the Get It Beauty 2015 Blind Test Awards. The latter is a famous beauty show in South Korea where experts test different products without knowing the brands and rank them according to different criteria.

REVIEW: The FaceShop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam (Mung Beans)

Hello Everyone!

What's Up?

Today, I'm gonna review another The Faceshop product which is the Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam in Mung Beans. I bought it in the Mauritian flagship store of The Faceshop and it was more affordable than the Glow-Date Prep Butter. It cost Rs 175 (almost $5) for 170 ml of product. It looks like it will last long.

What I Bought and currently using: Mung Beans

REVIEW: The Faceshop Glow-Date Prep Butter

Hi Everyone!

As you already know, I've been talking a lot about the opening of The Faceshop store in Mauritius. One of the first products I bought was The Faceshop Glow-Date Prep Butter. It was so expensive. It cost me like Rs 1325 (almost $ 38, whaaaaatttttt?-only now that i'm converting it into dollars) but it was an impulse purchase and western butters cost much more than that (still good, lol).

THEFACESHOP in Mauritius

Hi Everyone!

Long time no see.

I've got exams in less than two weeks and still got loads to revise. But I wanted to spare a few minutes to share a very good news with the world (you may have seen my Instagram updates though)

THEFACESHOP, a korean cosmetics brand, has opened its first flagship store in Mauritius (YES, OMG!!!!!!!!!)

REVIEW: Elite Paris Eye Liner Waterproof Cream

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take some time off reviewing from South Korean Cosmetics to share my views on a French Brand. I just received two Elite Paris ye Liner Waterproof Cream (in black and in brown) as a gift and they are just amazing.

I usually prefer gel liners to pencil and liquid eyeliners, as they are easier, faster to apply and gives a more natural looking finish. The  Elite Paris Eye Liner Waterproof Cream is just soft and so easy to apply with the small "Professional Eyeliner Brush". So, I received the ones in:

-No. 2 Hot Choco
-No. 3 Diamond Black

REVIEW: Innisfree Green christmas jelly tint set

It's Christmas Time!!!

Credits: Innisfreeworld.com

Joking. I'm fully aware that we already hit April, but I so wanted to review those lovely lip tints by Innisfree on my new blog. In fact, those babies came as part of a Green Christmas Jelly Tint Set, which was like a special limited Christmas edition in December 2014. When they were on sale on Innisfreeworld.com for a few weeks only, I just could not resist them. The packaging is so cute, and it reflected the Christmas spirit at that time. Also, the colors looked so yummy on the ad. Innisfree could not have chosen a better time to put these tints on sale.

REVIEW: Innisfree Olive Real Lotion

Innisfree Olive Real Lotion (Credits: Innisfreeworld.com)

Hi Everyone!

What's  up? Today I shall review the Innisfree Olive Real Lotion. Innisfree is another cosmetics brand from Amore Pacific Corporation that I am fond of and if you have been following me, by now, you may have guessed why I first fell in love with that brand. It is famously endorsed by none other than Lee Min Ho (sigh), and also Girls' Generation Yoona. Although I admit I got attracted to the brand by them, my commitment to the brand really began when I used its products.

REVIEW: Etude House Precious Mineral MOIST Any Cushion SPF 50+ PA+++

Etude House is a brand that I particularly appreciate for its excellent product quality, gorgeously cute packaging and star-studded endorsements, like Krystal and Sulli of f(x), and previously Park Shin Haye and Lee Min Ho, who I admire a lot. It is somehow thanks to them that I came across the first ads of the brand, which were amazing and appealed to me as a young girl. The growing popularity of BB/CC cushions in South Korea, more specifically among K-Pop idols and Hallyus, has particularly made me wanted to give it a try.

Coming back to the Precious Mineral MOIST Any Cushion Review, it is among the first products I purchased from Etude House. It contains 3.38 fl. oz. / 100ml of product and is available in 3 different shades: N02 Light Beige,  W13 Natural Beige, and  W24 Honey Beige. I bought the one in N02 Light Beige as I have very fair skin (despite living on a tropical island).  So let's check it out.

Saturday, 21 March 2015

Welcome to my blog! (^_^)

Welcome to my brand new blog Everyone!!!

I'm Aegyo Girl. I hail from the paradise island of Mauritius (point to be noted: I am of Chinese origin though). Yesss, I live in the middle of the Indian Ocean close to Africa. However, don't believe that I am in isolation on a patch of land surrounded by water. I am actually a  modern and versatile person, well in touch with technology and hopefully integrated with the online community. I can proudly declare that I am part of the global village.

I am not new to social networks, but it's actually the first time I turn to blogging. I always wondered what could be the main theme of my blog if ever I had to create one. But now, here I am. After years following make-up artists, like Michelle Phan, Meejmuse and many others, I developed an unflinching interest to make-up and skin care. According to me, both go hand-in-hand. If someone is going to use make-up, one is bound to start up a skin care routine to maintain a healthy and youthful skin. So, I shall not restrict myself to make-up reviews.

Why make-up and skin care reviews?

I am fully aware that the Internet is overflowing with so much blogs, YouTube videos about make-up and many other products. However, I wanted to contribute my share and apply the knowledge that I have acquired through my "gurus" and through the products that I use myself from my own perspective. Ever since I earned my own money, I started buying make-up and skin care in retail stores here and more recently, online. I also want to highlight that I am a huge fan of Korean Dramas and K-pop (despite the infinity of an ocean that separates me from the K-world). So, my reviews might make reference to products used by my revered idols.(they sure have a perfect looking skin!!!).

Moreover, as you might have read or heard about it, Asian (more specifically South Korean) cosmetics are gradually paving their way to becoming the worldwideleaders in that field, being more affordable and of better quality than their Western counterparts. They are always coming up with amazing, and new products. By the way, I am a staunch fan of Etude House and Innisfree products from the Amore Pacific Group in South Korea. But I also use L'Oreal, Maybelline, Elite, Avon, Yves Rocher, etc. I have yet to test the plethora of brands that exist out there. I still feel like a newbie here but I am excited about my new venture into cosmetics blogging. If you can advise me on brands that you have used, it may help. We are here to share after all.

Moreover, I wanted to discuss with you about skin issues, which are quite a topic nowadays. Well, since my teenage years, I have always suffered from acne breakouts, blackheads and pore problems. But I never knew how to solve these with the products that were available on the market and what make-up was appropriate for my skin type. I was too shy to visit a dermatologist or ask for advice at that time. Little did I know that the Internet could provide me with the most enriching and helpful advices. When I discovered that Eldorado of information, my skin problems were solved to a great extent. I still have scars (can't do anything about it, can I?), and breakouts at times, but nothing serious. I try to take good care of my skin. I was skeptical about buying cosmetics online first, fearing it could damage my skin. But as long as it is from a verified, trustworthy, and reliable source, I believe it is not dangerous but caution is always key (If you have some tips or experience to share about it, most welcome).

To end my introductory note, which was quite lengthy (lol), I'd like to point out that I'm not an expert, neither in dermatology nor in make-up, neither am I a model. I am just an amateur and a regular user of cosmetics. The main aim of this blog is to share our experiences, our highs and lows when it comes to cosmetics and I'd like so much to learn from you, make-up enthusiasts out there, as well. I'll do my best to update as frequently as possible. Finally, I want that blog to be fun, feminine, all-pink, sweet, girly, expressive and most importantly, respectful for any one person visiting or commenting on this blog (come on, etiquette is crucial. I don't want anyone to be offended or hurt whatsoever). In any case, it doesn't matter if we don't know each other. Our passion for cosmetics will suffice to create an enjoyable experience for all of us :)

Till then, keep an eye on me (Hwaiting!) and watch out for my next post, which will be a review of the Etude House Precious Mineral MOIST Any Cushion, my first review (I'm working hard on it, believe me) and one of the products I absolutely love so far.

 STAY BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET!
