REVIEW: Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence

Hi Beauty Passionates!!!

We've got yet another skincare product to review. Yeah, I'm very much into skincare lately. But no worries!!! I'm gonna review more makeup products soon enough.

So, the product to be reviewed is Innisfree Green tea Moisture Essence. I think I never reviewed any essences before, 'cause I never actually used one. Skincare is so expensive but seriously I wanted to give essences a try, especially as a beauty blogger. Therefore, here's to my first affordable essence :D

Good to note that I purchase it at $19 on Innisfreeworld for 50 mL of product, quite a good deal. Moreover, this essence is also available in a "fresh version" for oily skin. The "moisture version" is supposedly for dry skin.

What it is
Dry Type: Moisture essence made with green tea and green tea seeds for deep hydration and nourishment

A moisturizing and nourishing serum containing eco-friendly Jeju fresh green tea and green tea seeds More moisturizing and refreshing than ever before!

1. Green tea extracted from fresh green tea leaves harvested on Jeju Island is rich in amino acids and minerals that help keep the skin moisturized.

2. It forms a soft, firm layer on your skin to deliver nutrients and to keep your skin hydrated and firm.

3. Cotton seed oil moisturizes the skin to form a protective layer and provides nourishment to dry skin.

Packaging

The essence comes in a recycled pale green box. Simple and sweet like most Innisfree's products. The essence is found in a dark green  cylindrical container with a pump. That pump is very different from the Green Tea Seed Serum from the same line. While you can actually re use the container for the Serum, I think it is impossible to re use that of the essence. The bottle can't be opened and as you use up the product, it's kind of like a syringe. There is a plastic mechanism that goes up as the product is being pumped out. I was quite surprised to find my product emptying from the bottom instead of the top, if you get what I mean. It' the world upside down.

The Product

The essence itself is not like the regular essence I was so used to looking at online, which resembled more like a toner or serum in appearance. The Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence looked more like a lotion in appearance. It was milky white and not that viscous and transparent like the usual essence. It felt actually very light on the skin.  For a moisture product I don't feel like it was amazingly moisturising. It is worth trying once though. It smells good, with a scent almost similar to the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum, you know, the floral kind of scent.

If you feel like your regular lotion is just too thick or overwhelming for oily skins, you can use the Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence. It feels so light on the skin and is not like ewww, I've got a thick mess on my face, which lotions can result in, especially for oily skins. Like I mentioned above, this "moisture" version is for dry skin, but it's totally fine for oily or combination skin. It's not thick or oily at all.

Pros:
-Fairly Moisturising
-Not Drying
-Light
-Fairly scented
-Portable
-Practical Pump
-Affordable
-Does not irritate or cause breakouts

Cons:
-Not really an essence, more like a lotion

Conclusion

I would recommend the Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence if you are just getting started with Korean skincare. Although it is described as an essence, I don' think it acted like one. It truly was a lotion. If you want something lightweight and moisturising, then get yourself one. Hope you liked my review. Have you used the Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence? What did you think of it? Lemme know on my social media or in the comments down below ^_^

Stay Beautiful and Sweet
