REVIEW: Innisfree Jeju sparkling mineral skin

Hi Everyone!!!

What's Up? I've decided to post more frequently. I've been more of a slacker lately, but there was so much going on in the background as well. Anyways, I hope you are all doing well and are happy and healthy wherever you are. As for me, I'm still crazy over Korean beauty and still consider myself a newbie 'cause I am discovering new stuff all the time.

And for this review, I am going to talk about a toner from Innisfree, one of my favorite skincare brands. It is the Innisfree Jeju sparkling mineral skin. Skin is the same thing as toners in the realm of K-beauty, in case you are lost ('cause I was :P)

I gotta admit that toners are available in Mauritius and even those from Korean brands, but when sales are up on Innisfree's website, I just can't. I had to purchase it. Alas. lol So there was a good discount going on, I splurge a lot on skincare since I was breaking out like crazy during the festive seasons and I was kinda curious about that sparkling mineral thingy. How would it do for my skin?

What it is

A skin toner with Jeju mineral water that delivers rich mineral nutrition for skin that's clear and filled like it's been soaked in hot spring.

Jeju Sparkling Mineral Line provieds deep hydration to the skin with carbonated minerals from the sparkling mineral water drawn from UNESCO Global Geopark-designated Sanbang Mountain on Jeju Island for skin that's clean and filled with moisture like it's been soaked in a hot spring.

What it does

1. Restoring the pH balance of the skin
Acid-balanced formula restores skin's pH balance after washing the face to keep it vibrant and healthy.
2. Contains 88.0% sparkling water
Contains a haigh carbonic acid and nourishing mineral content from the sparkling mineral water found in Sanbang Mountain on Jeju to deliver hydration deep into the skin, like filling it with moisture from inside
3. Highly moist sparkling mineral water-based skin toner
This toner gives a feeling of sparkling mineral water and is absorbed fast to soothe the skin and help it absorb skincare products in the last steps of your skincare routine.

How to use

Soak a cotton pad with the product to wipe the face along the skin texture or take an adequate amount on your palms to apply over the face.

Ingredients

SEA WATER, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERETH-26, BETAINE, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, ADENOSINE, PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, PHENOXYETHANOL, FRAGRANCE

Its normal price is $21. But Sales junky as I am, I actually paid $14.70 for it during the Black Friday Sale and so, it was 30% off for me :D Along with it, I also got myself some more skincare products. Sorry I am not updating through regular hauls, but I am keeping the reviews coming :D

Packaging

The Innisfree Jeju sparkling mineral skin comes in that blue-themed box with bubbles design and pictures on it. Very simple and fuss-free, as expected of Innisfree products. Its packaging are always made of recycled and bio-degradable material.

The main box
Korean Literature. To be used within 12 months
English Literature: intro of product, directions, ingredients, caution
Innisfree writes with Soy Ink. Wow

Bottle and Toner. Looks milky, right?
Stopper, please
The Product

Like most toners I've tried so far, this one is very much a liquid, what can I say. It looks milky in the bottle, but it is in fact transparent and clear. As you shake the bottle, you can see all the sparkles ^_^, just like in a bottle of mineral water or Sprite.
Its smell is also very much like mineral water. It has a little fragrance, that is very faint and not bothering at all.

How the toner actually looks like. Water, you say.

My Thoughts

The Innisfree Jeju sparkling mineral skin is very much easy to apply using a cotton pad. It gets absorbed quickly into the skin and preps the skin for your skincare. It feels fresh on the face. It does not irritate my skin or break me out. It can also help remove residues from your skin, but I feel it is not that effective in that department as much as other toners since not much residues come off on the cotton pad. Better cleanse your face thoroughly first.

Well, there is not very much to say about it. Toners do feel like water on the face at times, but I firmly believe they have their contribution in skincare routines.

Pros:
-Preps the skin for skincare
-Refreshing
-Not much fragrance
-Does not irritate the skin
-

Cons:
-Not that good at removing residues
-

Conclusion

I gotta admit Innisfree has one of the best skincare, so far for me. I've tried THEFACESHOP here, which is, its most comparable competitor. I did liked THEFACESHOP too. However, I really did put those brands to the test lately. In October 2016, I started breaking out like hell, with huge red pimples growing out on my face,  and not wanting to heal and  leaving acne scars despite slathering on all types of creams, homemade remedies. THEFACESHOP did recommended me a few products to heal my skin but in vain ( I have a review regarding that as well). To the point, I even had to use antibiotic cream. Hopefully, it soothed my pain a lot. Then, that Innisfree sales came around and I decided to change my whole skincare routine, and Thank God, my skin changed for the better. I stopped with the antibiotics. I still get one or two pimples but not as much as before. My skin is clearer, brighter and healthier. So, I do recommend the Innisfree Jeju sparkling mineral skin and hope it can create wonders for your skin.
