HOLIDAYS SERIES: A Glimpse of Holidays in Mauritius

Hello!

How's everyone? Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are enjoying holidays. Taking some days off once in a while is really important, which I did after like two years (that's why I was literally on offline mode). Last time I went on a trip overseas and this time, it's on my own motherland that I went on vacation for a few days and God, it was so much fun :)

Yep, That's where I disappeared to.hihi

From my previous post, you might have wondered where I was going with so much gear with me. Well, drum roll.....I went on a hotel stay in the Northern coast of Mauritius, precisely at LUX* Grand Gaube, with my family. In this post, I'm not gonna talk about cosmetics but rather boast about the beauty of my island (Maybe your perception of Mauritius might change or you might wanna drop by one day with your loved ones).

Background information

"A gentle stroll from a quiet fishing village on the north coast of Mauritius, LUX* Grand Gaube is tucked away in one of the island’s most beautiful locations, a tranquil retreat where every room, suite and villa is blessed with spectacular ocean views.

Sheltered from the winds and blessed with three filao-framed bays, the resort faces a crystalline lagoon and beguiling castaway islets waiting just off the coast.

From the bustling markets of Goodlands to the buzzing bars and boutiques of Grand Baie, the north of the island has many attractions. Settle in to the rhythm of Mauritian life with colourful displays of traditional music and dancing. Take a plunge in one of our five swimming pools or surrender to tension-soothing treatments at the LUX* Me Spa: this is island life at its most romantic and joyful."

My Experience

On my first day there, I went straight to my room which overlooked the beach. What a view!!! It was breath-taking. It was already quite late in the afternoon. So, there was almost nobody but us walking on the sand and enjoying the sunset.

My house for a few days (my room is where the door is open- not the whole thing, lol)
The Pool

That night, there was a Sega show on the beach itself. Cocktails and appetizers were served. But that was just a 'clin d'oeil". We were then asked to have dinner and come back later for the bigger show.

The dinner was a buffet and gosh, that was one hell of a meal. There was plenty of food that were adapted for all tastes: salads, meat, soup, Chinese food, Indian food, Mauritian food. I ate till my stomach almost exploded. A glimpse of foodporn for you.

I tend to be messy at buffets
Dessert

The following days were filled with trips to the beach, the pool and of course to the buffet (lol). We also had pedalo activities. Well, it was more of a relaxing vacation, where the aim was to absolutely do nothing and enjoy the sea, sand and sun.

Below are some features or activities that may appeal to you when coming on holidays in Mauritius:

You can have a romantic breakfast/lunch/dinner on that floating house...

...or breakfast on the beach with a beautiful sunrise
Wanna take a trip on that seaplane?

Got tired after pedaling for long.

Water-ski anyone?

To conclude, I really enjoyed my stay at LUX with my family from abroad. It was really a time where I was on offline mode and taking time for my family and myself. Just wanna mention that I am so thankful to them for the beautiful memories.

So, that's it for now. There's nothing much to say but so much to see about my little paradise island. I hope you can imagine how fun vacation can be here.  Don't hesitate to leave your comments should you have any question.

Going back to reality, work, studies and of course, my beauty reviews :)

Stay Beautiful and Sweet
