REVIEW: Innisfree Ginger Oil Serum

Hi Everyone!

Here's to another Innisfree product and this time it's the Innisfree Ginger oil serum that I wanted to try out. I'm almost out of that product after using it for roughly 5 months.

Let's see what his baby is all about :D

It contains 50mL of product and I bought it on Innisfree World for $16 instead of $32, cause hell yeah, it was on sale for Black Friday. hahaha.

Here is an ad with Girls' Generation Yoona:

The Packaging

Still the usual Innisfree packaging, that is a plain box made of recycled materials, and without much color and design on it, except perhaps the picture of real ginger.

The container looks like a small bottle and has a pump that pretty much looks like the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum, making it practical for dispensing the serum in a hygienic and practical manner.

The Product

The serum is white in color with a very barely-there lilac hue to it. Sounds weird, right? But I am pretty sure it has some iridescence to it. I just can't explain it. The serum is not like totally white, like other lotion or creams I've used that are mostly milky whute. Unlike the Green Tea Seed Serum which is more liquid, the Ginger oil serum has a thicker and more viscous consistency. It does not smell like ginger at all, but it does have quite a strong citrus/floral scent that fades away after application.

The iridescence is not visible on pictures

My Thoughts

The Ginger Oil Serum is, I admit, quite a good serum. At first, I thought it would irritate or maybe heat up my skin, as ginger does have a strong flavour and the ginger oil line does have a ginger oil warming mask (I'm curious about that one though). However, to my pleasant surprise, it did not. It actually felt smooth but perhaps a little bit sticky on application. But this, again, is solved as the serum is absorbed into the skin. If I had to compare with the Green Tea Serum, the Ginger Oil Serum felt more like a lotion than a serum because of its thicker consistency. Luckily, it didn't make my skin feel oily or greasy. But anyhow, it is a good serum. It moisturises the skin and makes it a little bit more plump.

Pros:
-Moisturising
-Nourishes the skin
-Nice Scent
-Portable

Cons:
-Expensive
-A little bit sticky

Conclusion

Overall, I liked this serum so much that I used it very generously and emptied it within 5 months. I wanted it to last till winter to see how it fared on my dried out skin, cause hell yeah my skin dries out like no other. Nevermind, I do recommend that the Innisfree Ginger Oil Serum and hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Stay Beautiful and Sweet

As such, it is often used for aromatherapy. I will also add that ginger oil can also be used in a variety of applications in the skin and hair. I hope, you will understand about ginger oil.
