Welcome to my blog! (^_^)

Welcome to my brand new blog Everyone!!!

I'm Aegyo Girl. I hail from the paradise island of Mauritius (point to be noted: I am of Chinese origin though). Yesss, I live in the middle of the Indian Ocean close to Africa. However, don't believe that I am in isolation on a patch of land surrounded by water. I am actually a  modern and versatile person, well in touch with technology and hopefully integrated with the online community. I can proudly declare that I am part of the global village.

I am not new to social networks, but it's actually the first time I turn to blogging. I always wondered what could be the main theme of my blog if ever I had to create one. But now, here I am. After years following make-up artists, like Michelle Phan, Meejmuse and many others, I developed an unflinching interest to make-up and skin care. According to me, both go hand-in-hand. If someone is going to use make-up, one is bound to start up a skin care routine to maintain a healthy and youthful skin. So, I shall not restrict myself to make-up reviews.

Why make-up and skin care reviews?

I am fully aware that the Internet is overflowing with so much blogs, YouTube videos about make-up and many other products. However, I wanted to contribute my share and apply the knowledge that I have acquired through my "gurus" and through the products that I use myself from my own perspective. Ever since I earned my own money, I started buying make-up and skin care in retail stores here and more recently, online. I also want to highlight that I am a huge fan of Korean Dramas and K-pop (despite the infinity of an ocean that separates me from the K-world). So, my reviews might make reference to products used by my revered idols.(they sure have a perfect looking skin!!!).

Moreover, as you might have read or heard about it, Asian (more specifically South Korean) cosmetics are gradually paving their way to becoming the worldwideleaders in that field, being more affordable and of better quality than their Western counterparts. They are always coming up with amazing, and new products. By the way, I am a staunch fan of Etude House and Innisfree products from the Amore Pacific Group in South Korea. But I also use L'Oreal, Maybelline, Elite, Avon, Yves Rocher, etc. I have yet to test the plethora of brands that exist out there. I still feel like a newbie here but I am excited about my new venture into cosmetics blogging. If you can advise me on brands that you have used, it may help. We are here to share after all.

Moreover, I wanted to discuss with you about skin issues, which are quite a topic nowadays. Well, since my teenage years, I have always suffered from acne breakouts, blackheads and pore problems. But I never knew how to solve these with the products that were available on the market and what make-up was appropriate for my skin type. I was too shy to visit a dermatologist or ask for advice at that time. Little did I know that the Internet could provide me with the most enriching and helpful advices. When I discovered that Eldorado of information, my skin problems were solved to a great extent. I still have scars (can't do anything about it, can I?), and breakouts at times, but nothing serious. I try to take good care of my skin. I was skeptical about buying cosmetics online first, fearing it could damage my skin. But as long as it is from a verified, trustworthy, and reliable source, I believe it is not dangerous but caution is always key (If you have some tips or experience to share about it, most welcome).

To end my introductory note, which was quite lengthy (lol), I'd like to point out that I'm not an expert, neither in dermatology nor in make-up, neither am I a model. I am just an amateur and a regular user of cosmetics. The main aim of this blog is to share our experiences, our highs and lows when it comes to cosmetics and I'd like so much to learn from you, make-up enthusiasts out there, as well. I'll do my best to update as frequently as possible. Finally, I want that blog to be fun, feminine, all-pink, sweet, girly, expressive and most importantly, respectful for any one person visiting or commenting on this blog (come on, etiquette is crucial. I don't want anyone to be offended or hurt whatsoever). In any case, it doesn't matter if we don't know each other. Our passion for cosmetics will suffice to create an enjoyable experience for all of us :)

Till then, keep an eye on me (Hwaiting!) and watch out for my next post, which will be a review of the Etude House Precious Mineral MOIST Any Cushion, my first review (I'm working hard on it, believe me) and one of the products I absolutely love so far.

 STAY BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET!
