REVIEW (Jolse X Aegyo Girl) : Haruharu sheet masks

Hi Everyone!

I am back with a new collaboration with Jolse. This time, Jolse sent me 4 sheet masks from a new brand called Haruharu. I gotta say, first hand, that I love the packaging. They are so damn original and appealing. They look like they are trying to tell a story but they are all labeled Episode 1 which is kind of intriguing and so I didn't know in what order they were, if ever there was. lol

Now let's review these lovelies, shall we?

The first thing I have to say about those masks is that it's all in Korean. So, I don't understand a thing about what ingredients is in there. What actually differentiates one mask from the other except that there is a moisture mask, a vitality mask, etc. Hopefully the ingredients are in English. But still, not that clear enough for non-scientific people.

On Jolse's website, it is mentioned that the masks are made of fermented Horse Oil!!!!! OMFG!!!!

Okay, let's hope that Haruharu did not harm any horse in the making of these masks.

How to use

After washing the face, prepare skin with toner.

Gently apply the upper part of mask with eyes as the center and the bottom part with lips.

Leave it for 10~20 minutes and remove the masks.

Pat essence lightly untill fully absorbed.

[Liftting Mask]

Tencel Fabric / Milder! / Smoother!

Low friction by tencel fabric made of natural cellulosic wood,

and adherence to skin's micro wrinkles with smooth fabric structure.

[Soothing Mask]

Bamboo Fabric / Calming up! / Antibacteria up!

By using sheets made of natural bamboo with skin soothing and antibacterial effects,

1. Moisture mask

The first one I tried was the moisture mask. I was surprised by how light-scented it was. Most sheet masks I've tried had that that hint of alcoholish-kind of frangrance. This one did had a scent but without the stinking alcohol, which was kind of surprising.

Effective absorption by having rich essence and lower skin harm by using cupra fabric

made of 100% natural cotton seed ingredient.

My main qualm was that the mask did not fit my face perfectly: too wide around the eyes.

After removing the mask, lots of essence was left behind, so much so that I had to wipe it off. But my face felt so moisturised and plump. Hopefully, my face did not break out.

2. Vitality Mask

This one I hoped would revitalise my face as its name suggests. Like the first one it had a faint sweet fruity scent and did not sting at all, and felt really nice on the skin. weird enough it suited my face better than the first one. lol. However, it did not feel as refreshing as the Moisture mask, but still very moisturizing.

3. Soothing Mask

OMG get me hundreds of this one. That mask is like a major cooler for the face. I've been having pimple issues from eating too spicy lately, and I gotta say, this mask is the real deal when it comes to soothing, Okay, 1 mask won't make all my acne and blemishes go in 1 day but the cooling sensation is just freaking amazing.

On application, this mask has toothpaste-like minty refreshing effect on the face. This mask would be perfect if your skin got heated up. Damn, I loved that one. It had very fruity and citrus-y kind of scent, pleasant and not unbearably strong.

4. Lifting Mask

The last one of the Haruharu sheet masks that I've tried on is the Lifting one. It had an citrus-like scent to it. I believe this one was the most fragrant one. But nothing too strong that would irritate the skin. The thing is I did not feel any much difference to my skin besides being moisturised. It also had more stickiness to it than the other masks. Nothing great though.

Conclusion

Out of the 4 masks I've tried from the new line called Haruharu, I would highly recommend the Soothing Mask, which really was soothing as its name suggests. It felt really good to slap that one on my face and I wished I could get more of it. It rarely happens. But otherwise, the Haruharu sheet masks do a pretty decent job.
